A personal blog to communicate with friends and family. I moved from rural Halfway, Oregon, to Washington DC in August (2011) to start a new job. This is the chronicle of my move and adventures in our nation's capitol.

I earned my orange shirt
We had the big garden building project today. It went great. More than 80 volunteers showed up! We had such good workers we got done three hours early. This is the big project that I've been working on for the last 8 months along with the rest of our community group.
Behold the Southwest Community Garden at Lansburgh Park.

All done. Now it just has to grow! |
All of the volunteers got an orange Fiskars shirt which is why it's such an orange mob!
