Super tasty Brussels sprouts

I'm not kidding. I shredded and quick sauteed the last Brussels sprouts out of my garden and they were delicious. This was a raggedy plant that had been growing all winter and I finally cut down Saturday morning and trimmed all of the possibly-edible parts off of. (No pictures of that I'm afraid.) They were leafing out and covered with aphids, but I persevered and took them home.
The cleaned sprouts, not much like the grocery store are they?
Thinly shredded with a knife...
And into a hot frying pan with some olive oil.
All I did was stir them around until just tender, maybe two minutes, maybe less. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Delicious nutty and slightly sweet greens for supper.
Such an easy way to get your vegetables! You could dress them up with bread crumbs or cheese or put them in a fusion taco or all sorts of things.

And speaking of cheese, I found this one at Safeway and it was really good. I'm going to post a picture so I remember what it was! It is called Orange Windmill Cablanca goat cheese. It was kinda expensive, $9 for 8 oz, but good enough to be worth it.
Tasty cheese. Look for it at Safeway!
Ok, that's all the food for tonight. Go eat some stir-fried brassica! Maybe I'll try shredding broccoli next.
