A personal blog to communicate with friends and family. I moved from rural Halfway, Oregon, to Washington DC in August (2011) to start a new job. This is the chronicle of my move and adventures in our nation's capitol.

I've left DC and moved back to Oregon. I'm living in Salem now. New things!

Sautéed kale flowers with leftover pasta
For breakfast!
They are good, a sweeter and milder kale takeoff.
Also I just learned you can eat black locust tree flowers. (Only the flowers, mind. The leaves and seeds are kinda toxic.) They taste a bit like sweet, flora peas.
